SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Greene County Commission says it will remand a roughly 93-acre rezoning proposal in the Willard area back to the county’s Planning and Zoning Board, at the request of the applicant, to reduce the size of the development.
The developer, Willard80 LLC, was looking to rezone about 93.36 acres of land at the intersection of State Highways AB and EE, behind Willard Central Elementary School, for a subdivision named Auburn Meadows. The rezoning would change the property from a R-1 Suburban Residence District to a UR-1 Urban District.
The Greene County Commission was scheduled to rule on the rezoning request at its public meeting on Monday, May 4.
