CHANA, Ill. (WTVO) — A Chana woman, wanted for retail theft, was arrested Wednesday after authorities in Ogle County were called to her home in response to a garage and house fire.
The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office said multiple fire departments from surrounding agencies, including Stillman, Rochelle, Mount Morris, Leaf River, Byron, Polo, Monroe Center, Oregon, Pecatonica, Seward, Dixon and more, including the Illinois State Fire Marshall, responded to a home in the 8000 block of E. Brick Road around 5:23 p.m.
Authorities said the fire started in the garage and spread to the living quarters of the home…
