It is about patios that actually work when you want sangria with friends, lawn games with the group, or a date that does not require yelling over a packed dining room. Most are South Bay. A few are worth the drive.
1. Clara’s Junction (Santa Clara) — The newest reason to skip the freeway home. This 18,000-sq-ft indoor-outdoor hangout opened September 26, 2024 at 2221 Tasman Dr, steps from Levi’s Stadium.
The “Backyard” holds up to 600 with fire pits, cornhole, Giant Jenga, and live music. Metro Silicon Valley called it “exactly what this part of Santa Clara needs.” Fits a casual group hang ekdum perfectly.
2. Cucina Venti (Mountain View) — A heated, covered Italian patio with a fireplace at 1390 Pear Ave, rated 4.6 stars by 1,680 OpenTable diners.
Tripadvisor currently ranks it #11 of 306 Mountain View restaurants, and the official reservations page carries an OpenTable Diners’ Choice Award. Date-worthy actually — the patio is the whole reason people book here…
