KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Chicago sandwich shop is expanding into Knoxville with four new stores. Potbelly Sandwiches got its start in 1977, and now it’s planning its first expansion into East Tennessee.
Potbelly serves up toasted subs, wraps, soup and shakes.
“We first got to know Potbelly during a trip to its home market, Chicago, and saw an opportunity to bring the concept to the Knoxville market,” said Nick Patel, a member of the family group franchising the stores. “There’s a gap in the market for a fast casual sandwich brand that combines a high-quality, craveable menu with a one-of-a-kind experience.
