KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department said officers were at Fort Dickerson Park to investigate after the body of an unidentified woman was found in Augusta Quarry on Thursday afternoon.
KPD said officers responded around 4:30 p.m. to a report that a body was floating in the quarry. KPD said crews with the Knoxville Fire Department recovered the body from underneath the Fort Dickerson Park overlook.
“The female victim had visible injuries consistent with a fall,” KPD said. “There is no evidence of foul play at this time.”…
