The Patriot Guard plans honor missions for 2 local, decorated Navy Veterans this week, May 1 & 4, invites the public to join the ride

The Patriot Guard has been asked to stand for MCPO Jack Shingleton, age 90, of Virginia Beach who passed away on March 9, 2026. He has no friends or family left and his wife of 62 years has dementia and is non cognitive. The Patriot guard is hoping for good community support to attend his funeral on May 1st. Additionally, The Patriot Guard Riders will escort and stand in silent honor of WWII veteran QMC Felix Patrick Maurizio’s life and 23 years of service to our country. He passed away on April 17, 2026 at the age of 101. His service will be May 4th. Read on for details on these two missions.
