State police plan patrol blitz targeting seatbelt violations in the Lehigh Valley

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M in Bethlehem will increase enforcement of seatbelt laws and provide free car seat installation assistance throughout May as part of a statewide traffic safety initiative, the law enforcement agency said in a news release.

Troopers will proactively patrol roadways from May 11 through May 31, focusing on violations of occupant restraint laws. The enforcement period coincides with the Traffic Safety Administration’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign.

State police have also announced three car seat installation events in Troop M where certified troopers will assist parents and caregivers. No appointment is necessary for any of the events…
