MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — The latest drought monitor released today shows little change compared to last week’s update. That means most of the NBC 15 area remains in either severe or extreme drought.
While that doesn’t sound encouraging, it’s important to note that the rainfall we’ve seen over the last couple of days is not factored into the data that was released today. That will be included in next week’s update.
Thankfully, we have more rain on the way. Through Saturday, most spots across the NBC-15 area will likely receive another 1-3″ of rain, with most of that likely coming from our weathermaker that will move through late Friday night through early Saturday.
