ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Beginning Friday, three new exhibitions open to the public at the Anchorage Museum.
“Everyday Anchorage: Duke Russell & Ward Wells” looks at Anchorage through the eyes of two different artists from two different generations. Duke Russell, a painter, captures Anchorage scenes from the 1980s through today. Ward Wells, a commercial photographer, documented life in Anchorage in the 50s, 60s and 70s.
“Michaela Goade: Song of the Season” features the work of Sitka based artist Michaela Goade. She is an award-winning Children’s book illustrator and author. Her work is influenced by her life in Southeast Alaska and her Tlingit heritage…
