Dozens of employees to be laid off at Pa. plant

Dozens of employees will be laid off at a plant in the Lehigh Valley.

Semiconductor manufacturer, Advantest Inc., filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, informing the state that it is laying off 55 people from its location at 1660 E. Race St. in Hanover Township, near Allentown.

Eight of the 55 employees have been ask to move to different locations, but their count has been included in the overall total, the company said in the WARN notice…
