Allentown man convicted in 2023 high-speed chase

A Lehigh County jury convicted an Allentown man on charges stemming from a 2023 high-speed chase, during which police fired two rounds at his car, prosecutors announced.

Paris Bartlett, 50, faces a possible prison term of 9 to 18 years at sentencing scheduled for June 29 before Lehigh County Common Pleas Court Judge Douglas Reichley, according to a news release Friday from the county district attorney’s office.

The jury found Bartlett guilty of fleeing or attempting to elude police, along with misdemeanor charges for accidents involving death or injury while unlicensed, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and drug possession…
