Knoxville man accused of firing AK-47 near homes, facing endangerment charges

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Knoxville man is facing charges after a police report says he fired several shots from an AK-47 near homes Thursday, putting others in danger.

The case involves Jose Caballero Aguilar. According to the report, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to 3200 Mynatt Road, which is north of Knoxville, after getting a report of shots being fired.

“[A witness] stated that he was woke up by numerous gun shots coming from Mynatt Road where a vehicle was parked,” the report said.
