MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Shelby County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency along with the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced they are opening a Mobile Disaster Recovery Center on May 2.
Representatives from FEMA will be in Shelby County to offer in-person assistance for residents that were affected by Winter Storm Fern this January.
“By bringing FEMA directly into the community, we are making it easier for individuals and families to get the assistance they need to begin moving forward. The Memphis Area Transit Authority, MATA, is still offering their Zero Fare Program, allowing passengers to ride all MATA services at no cost,” Director Brenda Jones of the Shelby County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency said…
