Two bald eagle eaglets die after fall from nest at Sacramento wildlife refuge

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two bald eagle eaglets have died after falling from a nest at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complex, according to refuge officials.

The nest is located along the refuge’s auto tour route, an area accessible to visitors.

Officials said both eaglets fell from the nest. One was found dead. The second was recovered alive in poor condition and taken to a raptor rehabilitation facility, where it later died…
