One of North Austin’s early Korean-Tex-Mex pioneers has quietly gone dark. Chi’Lantro has closed its North Loop storefront on Burnet Road, ending an 11-year run that helped put kimchi fries and build-your-own bowls on the neighborhood’s regular rotation. The shop shut its doors at the end of April.

The Burnet Road location officially closed on April 30 after the company opted not to renew its lease at the site, as reported by Austin Business Journal. The outlet notes that the restaurant had operated on Burnet Road for 11 years.
