JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Light to moderate rain will continue overnight as a disturbance moves through. A few rumbles of thunder are possible, and localized flooding can’t be ruled out—mainly across the southern counties near the Highway 84 corridor where heavier downpours may persist longer.
Rain will taper off early Saturday morning from west to east. Skies will clear Saturday with breezy north winds, helping dry things out through the weekend. Cooler air will settle in with the north wind, and quiet weather should carry into early next week as temperatures gradually warm and moisture slowly returns. Highs will be in the lower 70s with lows in the middle and upper 40s, so bundle up and find your jacket, if you haven’t done so already…
