ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Three local athletes were among 75 competing at The Cherry Bowl this weekend in the 2026 Professional Women’s Bowling Association’s (PWBA) Bowlers Journal Rockford Open.
This tournament features some of the world’s best bowlers and is the first stop on the PWBA’s 2026 tour. The athletes bowled two qualifying rounds of six games each and the top 25 advanced to Saturday’s third round.
