Rain showers will continue to fester over the southwest corner of our viewing area as a batch of scattered showers moves south this evening. This activity will quickly track into southern Kansas and weaken with sunset.
Some of this rain may reach Wichita before diminishing.
Overnight, temps fall to the 30s and 40s. Some frost is possible farther to the north and west.
Frost Advisories are in place through 8 AM Saturday. Be sure to cover any sensitive plants or bring them inside if you can.
Any leftover clouds will clear on Saturday with highs in the 60s and lower 70s.
Stronger winds on Sunday will help to advance the warmth and bring many more towns back to the 80s.
Early next week, a system moving out of the Rockies, with a cold front sliding south into the area, will bring scattered showers and storms by Monday evening.
One or two may be stronger for hail and high winds on Monday, although organized and widespread severe weather does not look likely at this time.
Temperatures will warm further into the 80s on Monday before resetting behind the boundary.
Additional chances for rain and storms are possible Tuesday into Wednesday. This does not look severe.
Temperatures will cool below average before warming by the end of next week.
