Suffolk Transit will add two regional weekday bus routes beginning May 4, expanding service from Suffolk to Windsor and Portsmouth, city officials announced.
The expansion adds the Peanut Express, connecting Suffolk to Windsor in Isle of Wight County, and the Seaport Express, linking Suffolk to Portsmouth. City officials said the routes are intended to give residents more options for commuting, reaching services and connecting with other transit systems in the region. The release did not list a dollar amount for the expansion, any public incentives or the number of jobs created or retained.
