Woman’s body found after devastating house fire in Wilmington

Searchers located the body of a woman just before noon on Saturday after a devastating house fire in Wilmington, Delaware, according to the Wilmington Fire Department.

According to officials, around 4:15 a.m. on May 2, Wilmington firefighters responded to the 2000 block of North Harrison Street in the city’s Triangle neighborhood after receiving reports of a blaze. The flames were so intense that crews had to exit the structure for safety reason, leaving one person unaccounted for. However, around 11:50 a.m., officials confirmed they had located the body of a woman.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire on all three floors of a three-story, semi-detached dwelling, and they immediately entered to search for occupants and suppress the fire…
