A roaring garage fire tore through a home in Roxborough Park on Friday evening, but everyone inside made it out without injury as firefighters moved in fast to stop the flames from spreading.
The blaze, reported near W. Wagonwheel Drive and Roxborough Park Road in unincorporated Douglas County, began in the garage and extended into the single-family house, officials said. Crews used a water tender to feed an engine while working to keep the fire from jumping to neighboring homes. The incident was brought under control before investigators arrived, and the cause is still under investigation.
