Trojans, Hounds earn 5 1st-place medals at Stan Morgan invite

CARLISLE — Chambersburg and Shippensburg competed in Saturday evening’s Stan Morgan Invitational in Carlisle and produced 5 first-place finishes between them.

For the Trojan boys, Okenie McLaughlin was a double winner. He won the long jump with a leap of 22-4.25, then came back to earn the triple jump title with a fine distance of 45-9.

Chambersburg placed third in the team standings, behind Carlisle and Cumberland Valley.

The Trojan girls received a first place from Natalie Quinn in the 3200 race, clocking a time of 11:06.21. In the Freshman 300 hurdles, Emily Mitchell hit the line first in 50.30…
