People on the Move: RWU Appoints Dr. B. Gökhan Çelik As New Dean
Roger Williams University has appointed B. Gökhan Çelik, Ph.D., as the next Dean of the School of Engineering, Computing and Construction Management (SECCM), following a national search. A longtime member of the RWU community, Çelik has been serving the school as Interim Dean since July 2025.
Çelik brings more than 16 years of experience at RWU, where he has held a range of leadership roles, including faculty member, program coordinator, and Associate Dean. During his tenure, he has played a central role in strengthening academic programs, advancing industry partnerships, and supporting student success across SECCM.
“I am delighted to appoint Gökhan Çelik as Dean of the School of Engineering, Computing and Construction Management,” said Provost Margaret Everett. “He is a deeply respected leader and colleague who brings a strong record of academic leadership, a clear vision for the future of SECCM, and a longstanding commitment to our students and faculty.
