Miami’s Newest Argentine Steakhouse Is Bringing Prime Meats And Cocktails From ‘The Best Bar In South America’

It seems all eyes are on Miami as more and more hospitality names seek to open in the city. 1986 Steak House, a stylish Argentine dining experience backed by a hospitality group with massive success across Latin America, is opening in Coconut Grove this week!

Grupo Orfano already operates 18 thriving concepts across Mexico, Argentina and the U.S., with 1986 Steak House promising an elegant yet down-to-earth parrilla setting with an elite cocktail program by The Best Bar in South America. Conceptualized by second-generation hospitality visionary Stefano Cremasco, the restaurant takes its name from the year when Argentina won the World Cup in Mexico, a love letter to his dual Mexican and Argentine heritage.

Cocktails by South America’s Best Bar

It’s rare for a restaurant to open its doors with a bar program that already carries worldwide recognition, but this spot is doing exactly that. The cocktail menu is a collaboration with Buenos Aires’ Tres Monos, which was recently crowned The Best Bar in South America and currently ranks No. 10 in the World by The World’s 50 Best Bars. To ensure the Miami newcomer lives up to the hype, Tres Monos’ veteran Bar Manager, Agostina Gerling, has relocated from Argentina to the Magic City.

Expect an energy-driven, bespoke cocktail experience with ingredients like the Fernet con Coco and the Matetini, alongside classic steakhouse martinis and alcohol-free options.

As for wines, the restaurant boasts a curated 200-bottle list that shines a spotlight on Argentina’s famed Mendoza region. Alongside international producers from Italy, France and Spain, diners will have access to 20 signature pours directly from the Cremasco family’s own private vineyard.

A global tour of best-in-class beef

While the mixology brings the heat, the kitchen brings the world’s finest meats! Helmed by Executive Chef Marcelo Daguerre, seasoning is limited to just salt and flames, allowing the premium cuts to speak for themselves. You’ll find tenderloin and skirt steaks alongside 40-day dry-aged porterhouses and premium Greater Omaha Packers cuts.

There’s also authentic Kobe beef and delicate cuts from the Shimane Prefecture
