MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Seven adults and one child are without a home after a Sunday house fire in Rockville, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS).
Firefighters said crews responded around 4:30 p.m. to reports of heavy smoke and flames coming from a home in the 400 block of N Corners Ln near Pinewood Rd.
An investigation found that the smoke alarm alerted the occupants to the fire on the first floor, and they safely escaped the home.
