Just around 12:55 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the Riverwalk Homes Apartments for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year old male on the fifth floor of an apartment on the 300 block of N. Broadway who had sustained a serious stab wound. The victim was transported by the Joliet Fire Department to St. Joseph Medical Center.
Officers secured the scene and conducted a canvass of the area. A male juvenile has been detained as a person of interest and transported to the Joliet Police Department for questioning. A knife has been recovered at the scene.
