Dozens displaced after fire damages Glendale Heights apartment building, no injuries reported

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. (WGN) — Heavy smoke and flames tore through a three-story building at the Ellyn Crossing Apartments in Glendale Heights on Sunday.

Fire crews responded to the complex just after 10 a.m. Residents said the fire started on the third floor.

It was a chaotic and frightening scene as people rushed outside to safety.
