A Few Morning Showers Give Way to Afternoon Sun

  • Skies becoming mostly sunny today with mild temperatures
  • Highs in the 70s Monday, showers and a few storms late in the day with a cold front
  • Cooler through the week with highs in the 50s

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Happy Sunday! A weak weather disturbance is moving through this morning, bringing a chance for a few light showers, especially southwest of Madison. With this being said, though, many places will stay dry and some precipitation may not reach the ground due to drier air in the lower levels of the atmosphere. After the rain moves out, skies will gradually clear, giving way to sunshine and mild temperatures this afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s to near 70 today along with breezy southwesterly winds. Winds will be sustained at around 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. So other than some breezy conditions, a nice day is ahead!
