Houston weather: Warm weekend, rain chances increasing mid-week

HOUSTON (CW39) – No real rain chance for the start of the work week. Instead, we will have partly cloudy skies. The next chance for rain is not until mid week. By the end of the weekend we will be warming up.

Need to know weather

  • Saturday will be cooler than Sunday.
  • Sunday we are getting closer to average in the low 80s.
  • Rain chances fairly limited through most of the work week, then increases by Wednesday.

Sunday: comfortable with mostly sunny skies

Humidity will be much lower as we enter the weekend. Dew Points will stay in the comfortable zone all weekend long. Dry air is in place after Friday’s cold front.

Dew point temperatures will hit the 70s again (very humid conditions) by next Tuesday.

Rain chances look low for now, then go up mid week

Right now, we are watching for a cold front to impact Houston and SE Texas on Wednesday. This will bring our rain chances to 80% with chances for thunderstorms as well. Temperatures will stay in the 80s before the cold front brings us back into the 70s on Thursday. Rain chances around around 50% for Thursday.
