CSPD: Demonstrators obstruct business, bang on windows

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Police responded to a business on North Academy Boulevard when a group of demonstrators obstructed employees and customers and began banging on windows on Saturday, May 2, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD reported that a business in the 1200 block of N. Academy requested police assistance when a local group demonstrating on the business’s private property caused a disturbance, obstructing employees and customers. The business partially locked down its facility and services as the demonstrators resisted police attempts to communicate with them.

According to CSPD, the group began blocking pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and some began banging on the business’s doors and windows. Police arrested some of the participants for trespassing and one for police interference and obstruction-related charges. Those arrested included Jacob Ross Lesterud, Brandon Ean Rincon, and Frances Archuleta. The majority of the group dispersed to avoid criminal charges after a few arrests were made…
