Attempted murder suspect in custody after hours-long standoff in Beverly Hills; hostage released

An allegedly armed man suspected in the attempted murder of a sheriff’s deputy was taken into custody Monday morning following an hours-long standoff in Beverly Hills.

Video from overnight shows authorities shooting flash bangs at the barricaded suspect. Just before 2:30 a.m., The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect was taken into custody.
