Port Richmond students to present biodiversity findings at Staten Island Zoo

Con Edison awarded the Staten Island Zoo a $30,000 grant to support a student-led biodiversity and resilience research project at Goodhue Park, culminating in a public symposium in May 2026.

Port Richmond High School students will present their findings at the Youth Environmental Sustainability Symposium at the zoo on May 20, 2026, following months of field research studying the 42-acre park on Staten Island’s North Shore.
