Parole Task Force already making an impact on community safety

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) –Authorities in Sioux Falls and Rapid City are stepping up efforts to get people who are violating parole back behind bars.

South Dakota’s second largest city is seeing more crimes being committed by people who are on parole.

“The violations that we’re seeing are not technical violations. They are committing violent crimes that are creating a lot more victims. Minnehaha County along with the Rapid City PD and Pennington County, we have highlighted homicides that have occurred.” PCSO Captain Chris Hislip said.
