Major changes are coming to I-59 in northeast Jefferson County as part of an ongoing widening project.
Starting Monday, May 18, weather permitting, ALDOT will shut down both northbound entrance and exit ramps at Chalkville Mountain Road (Exit 141). The closure is expected to last up to 40 days as crews work to expand the interstate.
