State Police honor fallen troopers at Dauphin County headquarters

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — On Monday, Pennsylvania State Police held the PSP Memorial Day ceremony at department headquarters in Dauphin County to honor troopers who have died in the line of duty.

The event included the addition of Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr. to the Memorial Wall. O’Connor was killed in during a traffic stop in Chester County last month.

“Their sacrifice as well is not lost on us,” said PSP Communications Director Sgt. Logan Brouse. “We lost a brother, and they lost a father and a husband as well, and that’s extremely difficult and tragic to see. Making the ultimate sacrifice, that’s in the back of everybody’s mind. It’s a very dangerous career, but there is a bond, just like there is across emergency services and in the military. There’s a bond of brotherhood and sisterhood that extends way beyond just ourselves and our families and those that have retired as well.”…
