Arsonist sets fire to infant department at Philly Walmart, police say

An investigation is underway after someone intentionally set fire to the infant department at a Philadelphia Walmart store, police said.

The incident occurred on Sunday, May 3, at the Walmart store on 1675 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard. An assistant manager at the store was alerted around 8:25 p.m. of a fire within the store’s infant department.

The manager spotted flames and smoke in the infant section and used a store extinguisher to put out the fire before it spread to surrounding aisles, police said…
