LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Early May in Central Arkansas comes with a pretty good excuse to get outside: 501 Fest is back, bringing a big community celebration to the River Market.
501 Fest co-founders Broderick Bozeman and Dazz Murry describe the event as a celebration of 501 Day, a chance to bring the community together with vendors, entertainment and activities for kids and families, with an emphasis on investing in youth.
The festival started after Bozeman and Murry connected through other projects, including programming tied to Creator’s Village and work through a nonprofit. When 501 Day was solidified through the city in 2021, they wanted to celebrate in a way that was safe while people were still navigating COVID-19.
