Sunday, Father’s Day, expect predominantly partly sunny skies with some moments of clouds. Clouds may be around early, but more sunshine is expected later. The day will be hot, humid, and breezy, too. A Heat Advisory will be in place from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, in parts of Crawford, Sebastian, Franklin, Johnson, and Pope Counties, and fully in Logan, Yell, Conway, Faulkner, Saline, Pulaski, White, Lonoke, and Prairie Counties in Arkansas.
Then, Sunday night into Monday, a complex of showers and storms will bring a risk of severe weather and flooding to Arkansas.
Damaging wind gusts will be the main hazard with this overnight line of storms, but there’s also a very low risk of tornadoes and hail. Flooding and flash flooding will be possible, especially in overworked areas that experience back-building showers behind the initial.
