Abrupt change – some rain; even snow

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Another taste of late winter arrives in Kansas for Tuesday and Wednesday with much chillier air and some areas, even the potential of snow. Much warmer ground temperatures will limit accumulations to just an inch or two near the Goodland area, but it does represent just how much cooler things will be for Kansas.

Meanwhile, a few thunderstorms may develop east of I-135 overnight and early Tuesday morning, but much of the state will just be cloudy with a few rain showers from time to time. Highs will fall to the 50s, but northwest Kansas may get stuck with highs in the 40s.

More rain showers are on the way Tuesday night and Wednesday, which could cover much of the state. However, the possibility of snow will be west of a line from Hill City to Garden City. Rainfall amounts will generally be under .50″, but northwest Kansas will receive an inch of moisture…
