CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston County’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Council released its annual report on Monday, showing trends of decreasing crime rates, a shrinking court backlog and a rising jail population.
The 2025 report analyzes trends in the Lowcountry’s criminal justice system. It pulled data from the court system, jail and local law enforcement agencies.
