New nature reserve in Foley opens to public next year

City sustainability coordinator Nick Williams took Chad Petri on a tour of the site Monday. Officials say it highlights stream restoration; it sits along the Bon Secure River and is a site that helps clean runoff from urban and agricultural areas.

Sometime next year it will also be open to the public, as passive recreation.  There will be limited amenities in order to preserve the lake, wildflowers and the other parts of the natural landscape that are growing there…
