Fatal two-car crash shuts down eastbound 10 in West L.A.

Traffic was at a standstill in eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway after a two-car crash that left one person dead and two others, one of whom was allegedly detained by witnesses, hospitalized Monday evening.

Medical personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene near the South Robertson Boulevard just after 7 p.m. on reports of the crash.

Arriving firefighters had to extinguish one of the involved vehicles, which was fully involved with fire.

“One patient was determined beyond medical help and deceased on scene,” fire officials said in a news release. “A second patient in critical condition has been transported to the hospital by paramedics.”…
