TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa detectives are scouring the city for a man who reportedly targeted an 82-year-old woman in a violent robbery last Friday night. The attack, which left the victim unconscious on the sidewalk, occurred around 7:45 PM near a bus stop at the intersection of W. Hillsborough Avenue and N. Habana Avenue.
According to police reports, the woman was walking past the suspect when he suddenly grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground. The force of the fall caused her to lose consciousness. While she was down, the assailant snatched her bag and sped away on a bicycle.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Authorities confirmed today that she has been released and is currently recovering from her injuries at home…
