Case against Erie man charged with attempted homicide proceeds

(WJET/WFXP)– The case against an Erie man accused of causing life-threatening injuries during an assault at a local bar is moving forward.

According to online court documents, 34-year-old Alondre Hamilton appeared before Magisterial District Justice Christine Rush on Monday for a preliminary hearing, where all charges were held for court.

Hamilton was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and attempted aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct following an alleged assault in the 700 block of West 4th Street on April 2.

According to court documents, Hamilton, along with two others, drove up to the victim while he was walking and immediately started punching, kicking and stomping on him, with surveillance video of the incident allegedly showing the victim removing an object from his side.
