Food Truck Battle returns to fairgrounds with 55+ trucks, cheap bites and big flavors

Geddes, N.Y. — If your idea of a perfect spring weekend includes bouncing from a chopped gyro to a pork belly burnt end, with a lavender lemonade slushie somewhere in between, clear your schedule.

The 2026 Food Truck Battle returns to the New York State Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday, bringing more than 55 food trucks, live music and what organizers are calling the biggest gathering of rolling kitchens in Central New York history. Last year’s event was cut short when a monstrous storm rolled through Saturday afternoon, sending crowds scrambling and trucks packing early.

Now in its sixth year, the event has become the unofficial kickoff to festival season, the place where you can eat wildly, wander freely and maybe discover your new favorite truck before summer even gets going…
