CHITTENANGO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The village of Chittenango, known for its Oz-themed museum and history, has some big plans for more than four million dollars in state funding it’s about to receive.
“We’d like to see it tomorrow, we’re ready to take off running,” said Chittenango Mayor Lou Cianfrocco.
The money is part of the NY Forward program, which is putting $4.5 million toward the village of Chittenango, notably the birthplace of L. Frank Baum, author of “The Wizard of Oz.”…
