AUSTIN, Texas — An investigation is underway after a hotel caught fire early Tuesday morning in South Austin.
According to the Austin Fire Department (AFD), crews received a call at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday about smoke inside the South Congress Hotel, located at 1603 South Congress Ave.
Once on scene, responders said they found a small fire inside the laundry room of the hotel. Guests were told to evacuate but were able to return to their rooms roughly one hour later…
