CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After more than four years of providing crucial weather coverage to the Coastal Bend, Meteorologist Kristin Walla is saying farewell. She will soon be joining the weather team at KVUE, our sister station in Austin.
Kristin joined the 3NEWS team in December of 2021 as our weekend evening meteorologist. She quickly became a key member of our team, providing useful and accurate forecasts while also making major contributions to projects such as our yearly Hurricane Special and our Water Woes series, which was nominated for an award by the Texas Association of Broadcasters.
Kristin was part of team coverage during Tropical Storm Harold. She and the 3NEWS team were on air for 7.5 hours straight covering the storm’s impacts – including multiple tornado warnings – to keep the Coastal Bend safe…
