BOONE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – A crash near Belvidere claims the life of a 30-year-old Wisconsin man who reportedly sped away from deputies in two counties.
Christian Castillo of East Troy died after hitting a utility pole near N. State Street, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 4:30 a.m. May 3, investigators got a call about someone who sped away from Winnebago County deputies after being kicked out of the Hard Rock Casino in Rockford. The driver, who was believed to be under the influence, headed east on Business 20 toward Belvidere in a blue or green Honda with a red bumper.
