Experts say drinking habits shifting as Springfield prepares for Cinco de Mayo

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — As people across the Ozarks get ready to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, experts say attitudes toward alcohol may be changing.

Researchers and local officials say more people are rethinking their relationship with drinking, even as the holiday remains one of the busiest nights for bars and restaurants.

A shift toward mindful drinking

Vedant Pradeep, CEO of Reframe, says he’s seeing a growing trend toward moderation.
